“Sharknado 2: The Next One” made its first appearance on the Syfy network Thursday and, well, let’s just say that a better subtitle might have been: “Bad Stuff Happens to the Mets.”

Admittedly, it was pretty sweet when Richard Kind blasted a shark into the stands during the schlockfest.

And the internet was totally stoked to learn the sharks were baaaaaack, concluding that, in the annals of bad things that have happened to the Mets, this probably would have trouble cracking the top five.

Whatever they paid Ian Ziering to go to a Mets game, it wasn’t enough.

After spending most of her career in traditional print sports journalism, Cindy began blogging and tweeting, first as NFL/Redskins editor, and, since August 2010, at The Early Lead. She also is the social media editor for Sports.
