Get caught up on all of MLB’s trade-deadline madness

It was a busy day in baseball, to say the least. With a trade deadline at 4 p.m. and most of the two leagues in playoff contention (thank you, second wild-card spot), teams collaborated on a dizzying flurry of deals during the afternoon. Here is what went down (in no particular order), along with video commentary:

Athletics get: LHP Jon Lester, OF Jonny Gomes and cash considerations. Red Sox get: Get OF Yoenis Cespedes and a 2015 competitive balance draft pick.

Tigers get: LHP David Price. Mariners get: OF Austin Jackson. Rays get: INF Nick Franklin, LHP Drew Smyly and INF Willy Adames.

Cardinals get: RHP John Lackey, LHP Corey Littrell and cash considerations. Red Sox get: OF/1B Allen Craig and RHP Joe Kelly.

Yankees get: INF Martin Prado. Diamondbacks get: C Pete O’Brien and cash considerations or a player to be named.

Brewers get: OF Gerardo Parra. Diamondbacks get: OF Mitch Haniger and LHP Anthony Banda.

Marlins get: RHP Jarred Cosart, INF/OF Kiki Hernandez and OF Austin Wates. Astros get: 3B Colin Moran, OF Jake Marisnick, RHP Francis Martes and a 2015 compensatory draft pick.

Braves get: INF/OF Emilio Bonifacio and LHP James Russell and cash. Cubs get: C Victor Caratini.

Nationals get: INF Asdrubal Cabrera and cash considerations. Indians get: SS Zach Walters.

Twins get: LHP Tommy Milone. Athletics get: OF Sam Fuld.

Mariners get: OF Chris Denorfia. Padres get: RHP Stephen Kohlscheen and OF Abraham Almonte.

Orioles get: LHP Andrew Miller. Red Sox get: LHP Eduardo Rodriguez.

Yankees get: SS Stephen Drew and cash considerations. Red Sox get: INF Kelly Johnson.
