An assault investigation was probably the last thing Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch needed during training camp. Luckily for him, it’s now officially over. The “Beast Mode” star has been cleared of any involvement in allegations relating to assault and property damage. A statement from the Bellevue police stated:

“The Bellevue Police Department has determined that Marshawn Lynch was not involved in this incident in any way. This case remains an open and active investigation. We appreciate the cooperation we have received from Mr. Lynch and the Seahwks organization during this investigation.”

The announced their investigation Monday, and the Seattle Seahawks later released a statement calling the charges “bogus.” Lynch, meanwhile, has remained mum.

With the investigation behind him, the 28-year-old can now fully concentrate on football, as he is expected to play a part in Friday’s preseason game against the San Diego Chargers.
