USC Coach Steve Sarkisian now says he isn’t so sure about Josh Shaw’s heroic story

(Associated Press)

So earlier Tuesday, we told you the story of USC cornerback Josh Shaw, who supposedly sprained both his ankles after jumping off a second-story balcony to rescue his 7-year-old nephew from a swimming pool.

To be clear: This was the party-line story, told in official, news-release form by the school’s athletic department.

Tuesday afternoon, Trojans Coach Steve Sarkisian spoke to reporters. He’s apparently not so sure about what actually caused Shaw to sprain both his ankles. Here are some tweets from reporters on the scene in Los Angeles.

Sarkisian told reporters that Shaw will not be made available to reporters until everything is cleared up.
