Can’t get enough of ex-Atlanta Braves reliever John Rocker? (Said no one ever.) Well, if you’re a “Survivor” fan, brace yourself. Rocker is going to be on the next season of the show in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Entertainment Weekly reports.

If you don’t know who Rocker is, you might want to stop reading now because he’s not known to be the nicest or most eloquent guy on Earth. He’s most well known for his 1999 diatribe against New York City that was printed in Sports Illustrated, where he complained about taking the subway with “some queer with AIDS” and expounded on his hate for foreigners. He’s basically a real-life Kenny Powers.

Which was probably why CBS cast him to become a castaway on the network’s stalwart reality television program for its 29th season.

As far as whether Rocker thinks his reputation will hurt his chance in the game, he said “not really.”

“I see these folks that I’m getting ready to play this game with as very similar to the 13 years of professional baseball that I played, and the teammates that I played with,” Rocker told Entertainment Weekly. “Some of my biggest supporters after that SI debacle were my current and past teammates.”

At the very least, it will be interesting to see how Rocker deals with gay contestants Reed Kelly and Josh Canfield. The dating Broadway performers are also participating in the season that’s called “Blood vs. Water,” which basically means each player comes with a partner.

Rocker is bringing along his girlfriend Julie McGee, who owns a spray-tan business.

Good luck.
