Don’t worry, no one was injured when the stadium roof collapsed at the Yonex Sunrise Vietnam 2014 GP Open on Tuesday, so it’s okay to put this video on repeat because — holy cow! — it’s almost unbelievable.
Seriously, what… the… heck. That is terrifying. Welsh player Carissa Turner was there and survived the ordeal.
Can’t believe the roof collapsed at the Vietnam Open today. Luckily everyone had cleared the court and nobody was hurt #Badminton

Despite the total and complete overhead destruction of the Phan Dinh Phung Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the tournament didn’t pause for long. Players changed venues and re-started the tournament Wednesday morning at the Tan Binh Sports Center instead, BadmintonOnline.nl reports.
“There were no withdrawals or complaints. Everybody has been supportive. I’m very happy with the new venue and I cannot believe the situation was turned around so quickly,” referee Julie Carrel told the Dutch badminton news site.
Especially supportive probably was the random gentlemen in the video who seemed to scream “Happy New Year!” in English.
