Perhaps jealous of the other Munich club’s new threads, Bayern Munich soccer stars Xabi Alonso, Dante and Franck Ribery dressed in the real thing last month. (Okay, it was for an advertising campaign, but still.) (Andreas Gebert/AP)

Soccer has produced some mighty fine designs. Most recently, Spain’s FC Lugo impressed with some delicious designs featuring local Galacian delicacies, such as octopus and, of course, beer. Not to be outdone, Leonesa, a third-division Spanish club, decided to outfit its squad in the always elegant tuxedo-printed jersey.

Well, now German’s 1860 Munich club is getting in on the cool-kit action. Its latest design, released this week, features shorts imprinted with a lederhosen motif. The shirt, which is just as magnificent, looks like a blue-checkered button-up. BEHOLD!

If you’re speechless (for whatever reason), you’re not alone. The club will make debut the new threads on Sept. 20 — the same day Oktoberfest begins — when 1860 Munich is set to face Ingolstadt.
