Cam Newton gives NFL its fashion statement of the season

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton marched to the beat of his own fashion drummer Sunday night, turning up for a postgame press conference in a pair of man-pris.

You know, Capris for men.

Fashion critics may not be kind about his cutting-edge choice, but he deserves a break because he had an awful night in the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In fact, he was so battered by the defense that his coach pulled him.

“I just took Cam out mostly because I was trying to protect him,” Ron Rivera said (via Black and Blue Review). I just didn’t want to see him get hit anymore.”
