Gone are the highlighter colors, the great gobs of blowing green. The Ducks of Oregon will be virtually unrecognizable when they play Ohio State for the national college football championship Jan. 12.
Nike’s designs are, well, a little muted. Perhaps even bland. “The Oregon Ducks will take the field wearing new away uniforms including a white jersey with tonal gray and silver accents, together with wolf gray pants and a white helmet with silver wing,” the company said in a statement. “The jersey showcases the tonal silver ‘Fighting Ducks’ logo on the sleeve and the pants feature the words “Fighting Ducks” along the legs.”
It might look a little more exciting close up.
