Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is never short on energy. (Kevin Sullivan/The Orange County Register via Associated Press)

You have to hand it to Clippers owner Steve Ballmer: when the guy goes for something, he GOES FOR IT. Whether it’s splashing a couple of billion on the second-most valuable basketball team in Los Angeles, or getting energetic courtside, the former Microsoft CEO lets nothing — certainly not anything as trivial as self-consciousness — get in his way.

Which brings us to Wednesday night. After the first quarter of the Clippers-Lakers game, Fergie came onto the court to rock the crowd with her single, “L.A.Love.” And nobody rocked harder than Ballmer.
