It made sense, kind of, at the time and now it’s just a quaint memory. And a way to make a buck. In a Super Bowl XLIX ad for BMW, the show’s former hosts put their minds to the new BMW “automobile,” with its fancy-shmancy all-electric model built in a carbon neutral wind-powered factory. Possibly by unicorns.
“And it’s built using wind, like from a wind mill?” Gumbel says.
“Or a fan? Or a turbine? Or a fan…bine?” Couric adds.
“What is i3 anyway?” Gumbel continues.
