In 2012 police video, Dez Bryant’s mother says Cowboys star attacked her

In a 2012 police video obtained by TMZ, Dez Bryant’s mother Angela tells authorities in Texas that her son hit her with a baseball cap and tore her shirt after she tried to intervene in a dispute between the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and her brother.

Dez Bryant was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence after the incident, though the charge was dropped after he maintained a clean record for one year.

Angela Bryant told police that she wanted to report the incident to the Cowboys so the team could help her son with his anger issues. Recently, reports have surfaced that the Cowboys are wary of offering a long-term contract to one of the NFL’s top wide receivers because of his numerous off-field incidents.
