The NFL unveiled its new “Color Rush” uniforms for Thursday night’s clash between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. But given the color scheme, the league appears to be about a month and change early.
Yes, those are all-green uniforms vs. all-red uniforms in an on-field spectacle made for the most wonderful time of the year. The Internet reacted accordingly:
I think it's neat The Jets and Bills are doing their best to get us set for Christmas so early

Well, if nothing else, the Jets and Bills have me in the Christmas spirit.

And for those in the Twitterverse that didn’t have the holiday season on its mind just yet, it found plenty of other comparisons for these eye-catching jerseys, among them Power Rangers and gummy bears:

The Jets and Bills look like a bunch of green and red Gummy Bears running around tackling each other. #BUFvsNYJ

NFL Network color commentator Phil Simms, who has sensitive eyes just like the rest of us, has to watch teams play in these uniforms every Thursday for the rest of the season. He’s not too happy about it, either:
Phil Simms not really towing the NFL #ColorRush party line – "I don't know about you but I've got a headache seeing all those neon uniforms"

Unfortunately for Simms, he has to look forward to seeing these on display next Thursday:

Bold they are indeed, NFL.
