Jamie Foxx, or as fight fans might know him, the guy who slaughtered the national anthem before Mayweather-Pacquiao in May, never seemed to be on the Ronda Rousey bandwagon. So perhaps it’s no surprise he’s taken so quickly to Holly Holm, the woman who beat her at UFC 193 on Saturday.

On Thursday night, the new friends rode together to the Staples Center where they watched the Clippers-Warriors game alongside other celebrities Jay Z, Beyonce and Derek Jeter.

Their conversation, posted to Foxx’s Periscope account, wasn’t all that exciting, but one bit caught our ear near the beginning. Apparently, having met up before this car ride, Foxx revealed that he gave Holm a piano lesson.

“I had a piano lesson today,” Holm tells the camera. “I’m gonna get good too.”

Foxx replies, “We got a song poppin’.”

“You start with C,” Holm said.

Before we start wondering if Holm will parlay her UFC career into music, though, let’s all slow our roll. According to a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Holm’s hobbies including sewing, woodworking and painting — not singing. Holm also seems to have caught a bit of the acting bug, signing on to star alongside fellow MMA stars Miesha Tate and Cris Cyborg in a film called “Fight Valley.”

Judging from the trailer that was released this week (caution: there’s some intense violence), Holm will not beat Rousey at the box office.
