Cromartie, for his part, surely thought that his ninth and tenth children, with his wife, Terricka, would be his last. But apparently his subsequent vasectomy didn’t quite do the job, because Terricka went to the hospital in October with what she thought were terrible cramps, only to be told a double-bundle of joy was on the way.
“I didn’t even tell Antonio right away because I didn’t think it was possible,” Terricka Cromartie told Us Weekly. “I was going back and forth in my head how it could even happen. In my head we were good to go, we were having free sex! I just really thought that his procedure was the best protection you could have at this point.”
As for her husband’s reaction, Cromartie told the magazine, “Originally, he was like, ‘Oh, s–t! Are you serious? How did this happen?’ It was shocking news for the both of us.” She added: “It took me a while to process it, but Antonio stood firm and was saying, ‘It’s God’s will.’ And he’s been excited the whole time.”
Several days ago, Cromartie posted a joke to social media about about all the child-support payments he was having to make:
Reality-show producers thought the idea was funny, too: In 2012, the football star reportedly turned down a proposed show that would have featured him and all of the mothers of his children.
As far as the idea of having any more tots down the road, Terricka Cromartie told Us Weekly that she was going to do what she could to make sure his count stayed at a dozen — including getting her tubes tied.
