The field has been a mess ever since Levi’s Stadium opened and it was, just as everyone predicted, a problem during Super Bowl 50.

Players typically have issues with the turf at Super Bowls because it gets torn up by the halftime show, but this was something else entirely. Players were changing their cleats in an attempt to adjust midgame. Just how bad was it?

Look at Mr. “Blind Side” himself, Michael Oher, attempt to protect quarterback Cam Newton and fail to gain purchase slide like a hockey player.

Oher had all he could handle with Denver’s pass rush without contending with a slick field.

“The footing on the field was terrible,” Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib said. “San Fran has to play eight games on that field, so they better do something to get it fixed. It was terrible.”
