The French Open women’s semifinals are going on right now, and good seats are still available. Or at least going unfilled.

This year’s Drench, er, French Open has been roiled by frequent rain — a whole day of play was washed out for the first time in 16 years — causing all sorts of delays and creating the situation we’re seeing Friday, with the women’s and men’s semifinals being played on the same day instead of staggered on Thursday and Friday. The women’s matches also are being held during lunchtime locally, and God forbid the French miss lunch. But tournament organizers seemed to be doing what they could to get butts in the seats:
