If you can’t beat them, join them. And that’s exactly what Kevin Durant has decided to do after announcing on the Players’ Tribune that he will join the Golden State Warriors.

And after the story broke, it was immediately apparent that owner Derek Jeter needs to spend more resources on IT infrastructure — the Players’ Tribune website crashed almost immediately after the announcement went live.

NBA players appear to be just as surprised as fans were, with many realizing just how devastating a lineup featuring Durant, reigning two-time MVP Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson could be. After all, the Warriors set the regular-season win record (73) without Durant and came within one game of winning back-to-back titles.

As expected, the Warriors are now the front runner to win the 2017 NBA championship.
