It’s a safe bet that Nick Young didn’t watch Jason Pierre-Paul’s #FireworksHurt public service announcement, considering an artillery shell exploded in his hand on July 4, according to TMZ.

In the video, you can hear bystanders shouting, “Nick! No!” while Young picked up a lit artillery shell and held it over his head. The artillery shell exploded in his hand, but Young came away without injury.

Last year, Pierre-Paul injured his hand while holding a firework. He wasn’t alone. In 2015, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) determined that fireworks caused nearly 12,000 injuries in 2015, with an estimated 8,000 of those coming between June 19 and July 19 of that year. That was up from 10,500 in 2014.

Pierre-Paul released a PSA with the CPSC on June 30 of this year detailing his experience and firework safety.
