A brawl broke out among parents Sunday during a youth soccer match involving 12- and 13-year-olds in Mallorca, Spain. The brawl, which was reported by Spanish newspaper El Confidencial and resulted in the suspension of the game, began in the stands and eventually spilled over to the field.
The video below shows adults shouting, kicking and taking swings at another before coming to their senses as children looked on. To make matters worse, Spain was celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday.
El Confidencial reports that scenes like this one are becoming increasingly common at youth soccer matches in Spain. Earlier this month, a controversial call late in a game involving even younger children prompted adults to run onto the field and engage in a shoving match.
