Former NBA power forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis was arrested in a Baltimore suburb last month with a quarter of a pound of marijuana and $92,000 in cash. Prosecutors charged the 2008 NBA champion with seven counts of marijuana possession and distribution, according to online court records.

Davis, 32, was at a hotel in Aberdeen, Md., on Feb. 7, when the owner smelled marijuana coming from his room, reports local TV station WMAR. Police were called and when they arrived, they found the drugs, cash, bags for distribution and a ledger allegedly listing Davis’s clients.

Davis, in a video posted on Instagram, denies the charges.

“Don’t believe all that s— on the Internet,” he said while eating Popeyes chicken and seated in what looks to be a private plane next to multiple briefcases full of cash with his NBA championship ring on top. “I will have my day in court. They just mad ’cause a black man got money, man. Just trying to keep a black man down, man. My s— legal, man. A lot of jump shots. A whole lot of jump shots.”

Davis most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2014-15 season. He put his basketball career “on hold” in 2016 to venture into film production. He is due back in court April 2.
