Ryan Braun can only hit home runs in Pennsylvania

The state motto of Pennsylvania is “Virtue, Liberty and Independence,” and by virtue of Ryan Braun’s skill as a hitter, he is liberating baseballs from the friendly confines of the Commonwealth’s stadiums and giving them their independence.

Everywhere else? Not so much.

Braun has played in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania but has hit all six of his home runs in the Keystone State: three at Citizens Bank Park while facing the Phillies and three at PNC Park while facing the Pirates. The Hebrew Hammer has just five hits in 33 plate appearances the rest of the time.

Pennsylvania 10 46 17 6
Wisconsin 6 24 3 0
Massachusetts 2 9 2 0

Maybe the “P” in PEDs stands for Pennsylvania?
