Over the past week, while we’ve prepared our recipes and our stomachs for Thanksgiving, we’ve also been asking readers and our social media followers to participate in a tasty Instagram project.

We asked people to show off their cooking skills by tagging The Washington Post in previous Instagram photos of their own Thanksgiving dishes.

Participants in our call-out showed us an enticing breadth of dishes, from a chocolate pistachio pumpkin pie to pesto-and-burrata-stuffed acorn squash. While a few of our favorites will be displayed in print in this upcoming Sunday’s Thanksgiving special edition, there were many more that we wanted to feature.

Here are a few submissions that made our mouths water.
