Quick hits: Pierre Garcon a game-time decision

(Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post)

— Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said that receiver Pierre Garcon will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Rams because of his right foot injury.

Shanahan said Garcon “got some good work in” during Friday’s practice, but didn’t practice fully.

— Shanahan said General Manager Bruce Allen talked to Chris Cooley yesterday, but no return to the Redskins or a signing with another team seems imminent. The coach said Cooley still wants to start in the NFL.

— Shanahan said rookie Jordan Bernstine had surgery on his right knee today.
