Washington Redskins starting wide receiver Pierre Garcon will miss a second consecutive game, and starting strong safety Brandon Meriweather will miss a third game while recovering from foot and knee injuries, respectively.

Pierre Garcon has been sidelined since injuring his right foot in the season opener.

Garcon, who injured his right foot eight plays into the Redskins’ season opener against New Orleans, missed last week’s game and had been listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report.

Second-year wideout Leonard Hankerson, who last week recorded a 68-yard touchdown reception, is expected to start in place of Garcon.

Meriweather, meanwhile, strained the MCL and PCL in his right knee during Washington’s first regular season practice. He had injured the same knee in the second preseason game. He was limited in practice all  week.

DeJon Gomes is expected to start in place of Meriweather for a third straight game.

Also inactive for the Redskins are quarterback Rex Grossman, safety Jordan Pugh, guard Josh LeRibeus, guard Adam Gettis and defensive end Doug Worthington.
