Fletcher is scheduled to start the game despite spraining his left ankle during Sunday’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field. Fletcher’s consecutive games streak would grow to 235 if he takes the field. He tested his ankle during pregame warmups, jogging the length of the field at least twice without a noticeable limp.
Fletcher sat out Tuesday’s practice and said then he was uncertain if he would be able to play against the Cowboys.
It is the second time this season that Fletcher’s streak would continue after appearing to be in jeopardy. He played last month in Pittsburgh after missing two days of practices during the week because of a hamstring injury and testing by a neurologist because of issues with his balance.
Wide receiver Pierre Garcon also is active for the Redskins.
The Redskins had listed Garcon, like Fletcher, as questionable on their official injury report Wednesday. Garcon played Sunday against the Eagles after missing the previous four games because of a torn ligament near the second toe in his right foot.
Their inactive list is quarterback Rex Grossman, wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe, cornerbacks Richard Crawford and Jerome Murphy, offensive linemen Adam Gettis and Maurice Hurt and defensive lineman Doug Worthington.
