Robert Griffin III on the practice field a second straight day

Robert Griffin III was on the field for practice for a second consecutive day as he continues to work toward playing Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Griffin, who sprained the LCL in his right knee and was knocked out of Sunday’s game against Baltimore, practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday.

He moved without noticeable limitation Thursday and appeared more confident when he planted and threw off his back leg in drills during the portion of practice that is open to reporters. He did appear to favor the knee at times, but not as much as he did Wednesday.

It wasn’t clear how much Griffin will participate in the team portion of practice. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan will provide an update on Griffin later Thursday afternoon.
