Tyler Polumbus (Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post)

As expected Robert Griffin III will return to the lineup a week after missing a game with a sprained LCL in his right knee. But right tackle Tyler Polumbus will miss the game against the hosting Philadelphia Eagles a week after he suffered a concussion that knocked him out of Washington’s game at Cleveland. Backup guard/tackle Maurice Hurt will start in his place.

Center Will Montgomery, as expected, will start at center after practicing fully all week despite suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee.

Polumbus, who has started all 14 previous games at right tackle, practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Friday, and missed Thursday’s practice while he was monitored for lingering concussion symptoms. He was listed as questionable on Friday’s practice report.

Polumbus did some pre-game warmups here at Lincoln Financial Field, then retreated to the locker room. Shortly after, the Redskins announced that he was inactive.

Also inactive for the Redskins: quarterback Rex Grossman, receivers Brandon Banks and Dezmon Briscoe, guard Adam Gettis and linebackers Roddrick Muckelroy and Vic So’oto.

Hurt has never played an NFL game at tackle. He started eight games at left guard last season, and has worked at both guard and tackle in practice this season.

Rookie guard/center Josh LeRibeus will dress for this game, as will rookie tackle Tom Compton.
