The Honolulu nightclub owner charged with assaulting Redskins left tackle Trent Williams pleaded not guilty at a Circuit Court hearing on Monday.

Michael Miske Jr., who is charged with second-degree assault, will now stand trial on April 8, according to Hawaii’s Star Advertiser. Police say that Miske struck Williams in the head with a Champagne bottle during an altercation at Miske’s M Nightclub two days before Williams was supposed to play in the Pro Bowl.

Williams didn’t receive any charges from the incident, and the police and NFL authorities both say that the Redskins player was a victim.

Williams had to have stitches and wasn’t able to play in the Pro Bowl. Two other men, Michael Buntendah and John Stancil, were charged with misdemeanor assault for their roles in the incident and also have been arrested. They both have arraignments scheduled for later this month. The Star Advertiser reports that after the fight, police seized the club’s surveillance videos, and that the Honolulu Liquor Commission also is investigating Miske for his role in a separate incident with a Liquor Commission inspector. Since1993, Miske has been convicted of 10 crimes — six of them felonies.

Miske’s attorney, Thomas Otake, didn’t return a message left for him on Monday. Williams hasn’t responded to voice messages and text messages.
