Redskins meet with agent for Fred Davis, Rex Grossman

The Redskins met Sunday with agent Drew Rosenhaus regarding two of their still-unsigned free agents, tight end Fred Davis and quarterback Rex Grossman.

The team apparently remains interested in re-signing both players but must continue to cope with its tight salary cap situation. Nothing was resolved at Sunday’s meeting in Phoenix, site of the annual league meeting, according to a person with knowledge of it.

Davis, whose 2012 season was ended early by a ruptured Achilles’ tendon, reportedly has drawn interest from the Cleveland Browns. It is not clear when his situation will be resolved.

Grossman was the team’s third quarterback this past season behind Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.
