NASHVILLE — The Washington Redskins will be without eight starters in their preseason game against the host Tennessee Titans.

Prior to Thursday, quarterback Robert Griffin III, cornerback DeAngelo Hall, safety Brandon Meriweather and left tackle Trent Williams already had been ruled out. Other starters held out of the game: Running back Alfred Morris, wide receiver Pierre Garcon, defensive end Barry Cofield, cornerback Josh Wilson. Safety Reed Doughty, fullback Eric Kettani and inside linebacker Nick Barnett also did not dress for the game. Rookie tight end Jordan Reed also will not play, as he is nursing a bone bruise in his foot.

Griffin came out pre-game wearing full uniform. even though he has been ruled out of the preseason by Coach Mike Shanahan.

With Garcon and Morris out, tonight’s game will serve as a showcase for third-year players Leonard Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson, who likely will rotate at  Garcon’s ‘X’ receiver spot, and Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster as they vie for the No. 2 running back spot behind Morris.
