RICHMOND — Wide receiver Devery Henderson is scheduled to rejoin the Washington Redskins on Tuesday, a person familiar with the situation said.

Henderson left the team last week following the death of a family member.

It was not immediately clear if Henderson would return in time to participate in the team’s afternoon practice Tuesday.

He was signed by the Redskins during the offseason and is vying for a spot as a reserve wide receiver. Henderson spent his first nine NFL seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
