The Washington Redskins have released linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy, cornerback Ryan Mouton and guard Jacolby Ashworth to complete their round of cuts to get the roster down to the league-mandated 75 players by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline. The team also confirmed the release of right tackle Jeremy Trueblood, who was informed of the decision on Monday.

The team also plans to move injured defensive end Adam Carriker from the Active Physically Unable to Perform list to the regular season PUP list.

Those moves came a day after Washington released place kicker John Potter, wide receiver Chip Reeves, linebacker Ricky Elmore, wide receiver Donte Stallworth and fullback Eric Kettani.

The Redskins now have 75 players on their roster, with rehabbing guard Maurice Hurt (knee), who remains on the Active PUP list, counting among them.

Carriker at the start of training camp had a third surgery on his problematic quadriceps tendon, which he tore in Week 2 of the 2012 season. As a member of the regular season PUP list, Carriker isn’t eligible to be activated until after the sixth week of the season. Players with that designation then have a three-week window in which they can practice and be evaluated. The team them must decide whether to activate the player, release him or place him on Injured Reserve.

The Redskins must trim their roster from 75 players to 53 by 6 p.m. Saturday.
