We just played a round of “name that practice squad” earlier this afternoon. Each member of the Post Sports Live panel was asked for a player who could be cut, perhaps somewhat surprisingly. Who is in danger of not making the final 53 despite entering training camp looking like he had a good shot?

The PSL crew tackles this and who will end up as the punt returner … although they make it pretty clear that your guess is as good as theirs.

Thomas Boswell wrote earlier in the week about how the roster is more stable than it has been for many years. Perhaps that begets a slow and uneventful cut day, which isn’t always a bad thing. And if some Redskins get cut and end up on other teams by Sept. 1, you know the franchise has improved its talent base.

What’s ahead:

● The cuts, to 75 players from 90, must be made final no later than 4 p.m.

● The Redskins do not practice on Wednesday, and play at 7:30 in Tampa on Thursday.
