Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall received a $20,000 fine for his horse collar tackle on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson in Monday night’s game, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.

Hall is expected to appeal the fine, the person said.

Hall’s tackle on Jackson also came out of bounds. It drew a 15-yard penalty.

Hall last season received $65,750 in fines for three separate incidents.

He was fined $20,000 for a horse-collar tackle and $15,750 for a late hit, both in the Thanksgiving game against Dallas. Hall also was fined $30,000 for a run-in with an official that led to Hall being ejected from the Redskins’ loss at Pittsburgh.

The Redskins this offseason released Hall because he was owed $8 million. They later re-signed him to a one-year $1.25 million contract.
