The Washington Redskins planned to list safety Brandon Meriweather as probable on their official injury report for Sunday’s game at Green Bay, Coach Mike Shanahan said.

Meriweather missed Monday night’s season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles because of a groin injury.

He has played one of the team’s 17 regular season games since signing with the Redskins as a free agent prior to last season.

Update (3:20 p.m.) The Redskins listed Meriweather as probable, as expected. They also listed cornerback David Amerson (back), defensive linemen Chris Baker (sick) and Barry Cofield (hand) and punt returner Chris Thompson (ankle) as probable.
