Fullback Darrel Young will play for the Washington Redskins against the Dallas Cowboys after being listed as questionable all week.

Young missed three of the past four games with a strained hamstring and left last week’s matchup after tweaking that same hamstring. He said Friday that he hoped to play this week, but no definite decision had been made.

Inactive for the Redskins versus Dallas are quarterback Robert Griffin III, safety Bacarri Rambo, cornerback Chase Minnifield, linebacker Brandon Jenkins, and offensive linemen Josh LeRibeus and J.D. Walton.

With Rambo inactive, first-year safety Jose Gumbs is expected to again receive significant playing time. Previously, the Redskins had started Brandon Meriweather and Reed Doughty, but then on passing downs, they inserted Rambo. Gumbs took on that role last week and recorded an interception.

The Redskins’ special teams units appear to have caught a break this week as the Cowboys’ ace return man Dwayne Harris is ruled out for this game with injury. Also inactive for the Cowboys are defensive backs Jakar Hamilton and Morris Claiborne, linebackers Sean Lee and Ernie Sims, defensive end Martez Wilson and offensive lineman Darrion Weems.
