Kyle Shanahan interviews to become Ravens OC

Kyle Shanahan, shown here with Robert Griffin III, left, was fired by the Redskins after the season.

Former Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan interviewed Wednesday for the Baltimore Ravens‘ vacant offensive coordinator job, according to a person with knowledge of the meeting.

The Ravens are seeking a replacement for Jim Caldwell, who was hired as head coach of the Detroit Lions.

It is the second known interview for Shanahan since he was fired by the Redskins along with his father Mike after a 3-13 season.

He was interviewed by Miami but the Dolphins hired Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor as their offensive coordinator Wednesday.
