The Washington Redskins have signed free agent tight end Matt Veldman.

The 6-foot-7, 255-pound Veldman went undrafted out of North Dakota State in 2012. He had brief practice squad stints with Jacksonville, Detroit, and Tampa Bay.

In college, Veldman recorded 49 catches for 584 yards and seven touchdowns over four seasons.

The Redskins released defensive end Doug Worthington to create a roster space for Veldman.
