Outside linebacker Brian Orakpo was limited in Wednesday’s practice by a sprained ankle, according to the Redskins’ injury report.

Tight end Jordan Reed practiced fully despite receiving treatment for a thumb injury. Backup cornerback Tracy Porter (hamstring) and linebacker Akeem Jordan (knee) both missed practice.

Orakpo injured his ankle in the third preseason game and like the other starters, did not play in the final game at Tampa.

Reed sprained his thumb in practice last week, but said he will not miss any playing time.

Porter, who strained his hamstring in last Saturday’s practice, was not at Redskins Park on Wednesday because he went to have tests run on his hamstring.

Jordan, who strained his medial collateral ligament in last Thursday’s game, worked on a side field with trainers and wore a brace on his left knee.

The Texans had 11 players listed on their injury report with all but tight end Garrett Graham (back) practicing in some capacity despite receiving treatment for various reasons.

Cornerback Johnathan Joseph will start on Sunday despite having a foot injury, coach Bill O’Brien told reporters Wednesday. Joseph was a limited practice participant, as was defensive end Tim Jamison (groin).

The other players on the injury report were cornerback A.J. Bouye (shoulder), tackle Tyson Clabo (ankle), linebacker Brian Cushing (ankle), inside linebacker Mike Mohamed (quadriceps), center Chris Myers (toe), nose tackle Louis Nix III (knee), fullback Jay Prosch (hand) and inside linebacker Justin Tuggle (knee). All of those players were full practice participants.
