The Washington Football Legends Scholarship Gala will hold its seventh annual charity benefit dinner and auction from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at the Bethesda North Marriott.

The event, which is sponsored in part by the Shack Harris & Doug Williams Foundation, honors football legends in the D.C. area and raises money to provide college scholarships for minority students.

This year’s gala will honor former Redskins great Art Monk as the Bobby Mitchell Champion of the Gridiron, DeSean Jackson as the Washington Redskins Player of the Year, Navy’s Keenan Reynolds as the Washington, D.C., Area College Player of the Year, Gonzaga’s Richie Petitbon as the Herman Boone High School Player of the year, and NBC-4’s Jim Vance as the George Michael Excellence in Media award winner.

Tickets can be purchased at the door Saturday, or by going to www.washingtonfootballlegends.com.

The silent auction and Legends cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. with entertainment and the live auction and awards ceremony following.
