UPDATE (3:12 p.m.): There are reports that the Twitter and Facebook accounts are not from Joe Laurinaitis. A Redskins source said he also hasn’t heard of a possible visit from the free agent linebacker.

That belies our earlier account that the Redskins are among the teams interested in veteran linebacker James Laurinaitis that cited a tweet by someone alleging to be his father Joe (also known as the Road Warrior Animal).

The same person posted a similar message on his Facebook page.

Laurinaitis was one of the cuts made by the Los Angeles Rams prior to free agency, along with defensive end Chris Long, who visited Washington earlier this week. Laurinaitis, who will turn 30 in December, has not missed a start in his seven-year career.
