Washington Redskins wide receiver Terrelle Pryor Sr. is undergoing ankle surgery today, a source confirmed.

He was ruled out of Sunday’s 34-31 overtime loss in New Orleans because of lingering ankle pain and was scheduled to see noted foot specialist Robert Anderson on Monday in Charlotte.

Pryor initially suffered the injury in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams but tried to play through the discomfort.

Despite the high expectations that came with his arrival to Washington, Pryor’s first (and likely only) season with the Redskins has been a disappointment. After catching 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns last season in Cleveland, Pryor only has 240 receiving yards and one touchdown on 22 catches through nine games, starting in just two of those contests.
