They have faced extremely long odds for a number of weeks now, but with their 24-17 loss to the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins officially saw their playoff aspirations come to an end.

They'd be out of the wild-card chase with a loss to the Giants. They'd be officially eliminated in the NFC East with a loss to the Giants and a win by either the Cowboys or Eagles.

The cornerback was suspended the final four games of the regular season without pay for the use of performance enhancing drugs. A decision will be made late this week on whether or not to activate him.

The Redskins announced Monday that season-ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets to the first round of the playoffs starting Thursday, Dec. 27.

With their win over the Browns, and a loss by the New York Giants to the Atlanta Falcons, the Redskins gained a share of first place in the NFC East.

The Washington Redskins on Sunday take on the Cleveland Browns and look to extend their win streak to five games and take another step closer to the playoffs.

Their chances may not be high, but if a slew of upcoming division games goes the Redskins' way, they're right back in it.
