Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said that receiver Pierre Garcon sat out practice with his lingering foot injury. Cornerback David Jones (Achilles' tendon) and safety Brandon Meriweather (knee) also sat out practice.

Shanahan says the Redskins must prepare both for the possibility that Griffin will play Sunday against the Vikings at FedEx Field, and for the possibility that he won't.

Among other injury updates, DeAngelo Hall missed practice with the flu. But the cornerback is listed as probable to play in Sunday's game against the Falcons.

The Redskins likely will be without wide receiver Pierre Garcon for a second straight game.
