Barry Cofield, one of the Redskins' defensive captains, said that Shanahan in his most recent address told his players to keep fighting.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get much worse, they did.

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said that he is growing weary of the ongoing off-field drama surrounding his team – most notably himself and Mike Shanahan.

Following his 10th loss, the coach said he didn’t have his players prepared well enough to win the game. But a number of Shanahan’s players disagreed with that notion.

With his team down 38-10, Mike Shanahan told Robert Griffin III he was coming out, and the quarterback was okay with it.

The Redskins will be without starters Brandon Meriweather, Darrel Young and rookie tight end Jordan Reed versus the Chiefs.
