Hey numerophiles, it's Pi Day (March 14, or 3.14). Congress officially designated the day as Pi Day in 2009, delighting middle school math teachers everywhere. The rest of us can enjoy deals on pies, pizzas, and other circular foods.

1. Because some historians credit the Persians with one of the earliest approximations of pi,  Science Club is offering $3.14 Persian salads (cucumber, tomato, dill, kalamata olives and feta cheese). And although Yuengling was not invented by the Persians, Science Club is also offering the beer for $3.14.

2. Attend a Pie Walk at the Dunes, where $7 will get you all-you-can-eat pie, and will benefit urban farm Common Good City Farm.

3. No one celebrates Pi Day with quite as much verve as District of Pi, where you can order any pizza and get a second one for $3.14. (The offer is only valid in-house, but you can have the pizza boxed up to go.) Pint glasses with the restaurant's Pi logo will be free with purchase while supplies last. Also, if Pi Day is your birthday, show your ID and get a free pizza.
