Let's be honest: You don't get much work done on the first Friday of March Madness. So we've made this easy for you: Skip out of the office a little early and join the Going Out Guide and Weekend staff for a college hoops happy hour at Penn Social, beginning at 4 p.m. We'll have the James Madison and Georgetown games on a 22-foot projection screen, discounted drinks and appetizers, Skee-Ball, a giant Jenga set and other distractions.

If you feel inspired after watching a couple of games, try your hand at our Pop-A-Shot competition: The winner gets a plate of wings and a pitcher of beer for their table. That's a good reason to bring the whole office.

Fritz Hahn has covered bars, drinks and nightlife for the Washington Post Weekend Section since 2003, but he also writes about everything from Civil War battlefields to sailing classes. You can find him on Twitter and Instagram.
