HEY YINZ PICKSBURGHERS: One of your own kind will be taking over Mike Isabella's Graffiato on Monday, April 1 for Industry Night, his monthly visiting-chef late-night happy hour. Pittsburgh chef Justin Severino will be serving complimentary snacks from Cure, his Mediterranean restaurant in the city's Lawrenceville neighborhood. He'll be joined by Brad Spence, a James Beard nominee, of Philadelphia's Amis.
But let's focus on the better half of the state, shall we*? It may not be the same taste of home that would come from Primanti's sandwiches or Isaly's chipped ham, but Severino's restaurant offers rabbit "porchetta," smoked trout, and a dark chocolate souflee cake, among other delicious-sounding dishes.
If you decide to go dahntahn to Graffiato, the snacks begin at 10 p.m., and, along with specialty drinks available for purchase (by guest mixologist Gina Chersevani of D.C.'s Buffalo and Bergen), will go until 1 a.m.
*Disclosure n'at: We have two nostalgic Pittsburghers on the GOG staff, and we wanted a chance to practice our Pittsburghese. For the unfamiliar, it sounds kind of like this:
