Hill Country's summer-long Backyard Barbecue kicked off at the National Building Museum last week with brisket, spicy sausages and plenty of cans of Shiner Bock. Groups sat at picnic tables and on hay bales as the Kalob Griffin Band performed original tunes and classic rock covers, while couples tossed beanbags at corn hole boards painted like the Texas flag.
With the sun out and temperatures heading for the 80s, it looks like a good time to start your weekend a little early and head for Judiciary Square. Austin's Fatback Circus takes the stage at 5:30 p.m. If you need some extra encouragement, here are a few photos from last week.
Hill Country's Backyard Barbecue runs Wednesday-Sunday afternoons and evenings all summer long.
